Pastor Joey has been married to Karen Beam Cannady since 1982. They have one son, Zac Cannady, and one daughter, Cassie Jo Dick. Also, Joey and Karen are grandparents to Kinlie Jo and Dawson.
Joey graduated from Jacksonville State University with a degree in Accounting in 1982.
He worked in accounting from 1982 – 1998 in various positions in industry.
He accepted God’s call to ministry in 1993, and studied theology at Luther Rice Seminary 1994-1996. Joey was a bi-vocational pastor from 1996 –1997 at Victory Hill Baptist in Albertville, before becoming the Pastor at Solitude in 1998. It has been an exciting time seeing God grow and develop Solitude over the past 20 years and we’re even more excited about the future.
Pastor Joey’s life verse is Galatians 2:20, “I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.”
